The coronavirus pandemic, Covid-19 has sealed humanity up in fear. It causes all, both small and great, rich and poor to face this new danger with no immediate solution except lockdown and vaccine. Now in 2021, the second wave had made the situation even worse. With a number of death increasing daily, India is facing its worse health crisis than ever before.
EWM serves some of the poorest and most vulnerable populations in India and Nepal because they are the ones particularly affected in this pandemic. Many became jobless overnight and found themselves with no incomes. Others, like lepers and Gypsy communities were left aside, penalized because of their background.
We bought thousands of bags of rice and groceries to distribute to these populations. We also cooked hot meals, prepackaged food to give door-to-door to villagers. They appreciate so much this act of kindness, showing God’s love in action as it is written “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat”. It helps them to survive during these hard times.
We thank all of EWM Partners who gave generously and enable us to provide food and other essentials for the poorest. Your prayers and supports are most appreciated in this time of crisis!
