Children’s Home Nepal

NP_02

Nepal is among the poorest and least developed countries in the world with almost one-third of its population living below poverty line. 50 % of Nepalese children are malnourished and stunted as a result of starvation and a lack of nutrition.

EWM is seeking to reach these needy, unreached people with the love of God. With this vision, a Children’s Home in a rented building has been opened and young lives are already being rescued from poverty, abuse, addiction and despair.

This building was a former primary school but it required some renovation. We purchased this property. Our plans were to completely renew the existing building but sadly, when the second earthquake that hit Nepal on May 12 occurred, the building was quite badly damaged. There were cracks all over the building, and the toilets and compound walls collapsed.

We demolished the existing building and we start the building construction of a new home which will accommodate 200 children, boys and girls. This new Home will have earthquake resistance standards.
