NEPAL UPDATE!

For now, the situation in Nepal is stalled. Our staff and Pastors of EWM branch churches are doing their best to help as much as possible the victims of the earthquake. It is very difficult to find safe drinking water and buy food in stores. In Kathmandu and villages around, thousands of people are sleeping outside under tents as their homes are unsafe to stay in. Life is difficult for everyone and it seems it will takes months to come back to normality.

We have decided to send a team from India to bring emergency relief for the children and the victims of nearby villages. Hopefully, they will reach Nepal within few days. We value your continue prayers for the people of Nepal.

If you or your church would like to help the EWM relief operation, please make a donation. Many thanks for your continued interest and support.

NEPAL: URGENT NEED!

Here are some news from our orphanage in Nepal. The children and the staff are doing fine. They are sleeping outside, under a tent since Saturday. Due to many tremors, it is not safe to sleep inside the building yet.

Our staff and Pastors with their members started to help the victims, rescuing some people from collapsed buildings and bringing the children who lost their families, feeding them and taking care of them.

As soon as we have new photos from our mission work in Nepal, we will put them in our website.

We thank you for your financial help and prayers.

MASSIVE EARTHQUAKE IN NEPAL – URGENT NEED

A 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck an area of central Nepal between Kathmandu and the city of Pokhara early on Saturday 25th of April. According to international news, over 5,000 people are confirmed dead but the death toll continues to rise everyday.

God led us to the nation of Nepal in 2009 with a vision to share God’s love and His care for the people of Nepal. We have started 3 churches and a children’s home. The work has grown so far. It is sad to hear about the massive earthquake that hit Nepal Saturday. It brought lots of damage. Many buildings and homes were destroyed. Hundreds of people are homeless and sleeping in the streets in cardboard boxes, without proper food and clean water. We praise God, our children’s home nearby Kathmandu was not seriously damaged: the compound wall and the toilets collapsed. The children and the staff are safe.

We started to help and provide food, clean water and blankets to the victims. Our children’s home staff and EWM Pastors are on the site, helping and rescuing people who are trapped under collapsed buildings. We will continue to keep you posted on any future developments through our website: www.eternalwordministries.org

We need your urgent prayers and financial support. Please make your gift payable to Eternal Word Ministries and send it to EWM bank account in your country. You can also make a donation through Paypal.
